Lone Star Dental Anesthesia is committed to providing safe office based anesthesia services in the North Texas area. Our residency-trained dentist anesthesiologists have over 30 years of combined experience. We strive to provide an umbrella of accessibility for patients requiring anesthesia services in the dental setting while operating with the primary focus on patient safety. We provide high levels of expertise in dental anesthesia to the familiar and comfortable environment of your dentists’ office.


Lone Star Dental Anesthesia was established by Dr. Joe Giovannitti in 1982 as Dental Anesthesia Associates. Dr. William Baltazar joined the practice in 2000, and assumed control when Dr. Giovannitti returned to academia in 2004. Dr. Jinsoo Kim and Dr. Hunter Stuart joined the practice in 2016 and the group changed its name to Lone Star Dental Anesthesia. LSDA has simplified and improved scheduling and availability through its web-based system. We have over 30 years of experience providing safe and time-efficient office-based anesthesia services to the dental community.


Dr. William Baltazar

Dr. Baltazar is a Fort Worth native and graduate of Texas Christian University. He received his dental education from Texas A&M University-Baylor College of Dentistry and completed his post-graduate residency in anesthesia at Loma Linda University Medical Center and its affiliated hospitals. He has been in private practice since 2000. Dr. Baltazar is a Fellow of the ADSA and Diplomat of the NDBA. He is also a certified provider of ACLS and PALS. Dr. Baltazar is an active participant in the Save a Smile Program. Dr. Baltazar has been married to his college sweetheart, Ellen, for 22 years. He enjoys spending time with their two boys, family and friends. Hobbies include golf, skiing, movies, and playing with his Giant and Miniature Schnauzers.

Dr. Jinsoo Kim 

Dr. Jinsoo Kim attended University of Washington and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree (DDS) in 2005. He decided to further his medical knowledge by pursuing General Practice Residency at University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio where he treated all types of patients including medically compromised patients. He went into private practice for three years after finishing his General Practice Residency where he learned his passion for anesthesia. He attended Loma Linda University to receive his certificate in Dental Anesthesiology from 2009 to 2011. He became board certified by American Dental Board of Anesthesiology in 2012. During his free time, Dr. Kim enjoys sports, traveling, trying new food and spending time with his family.

Dr. Hunter Stuart

Following five years in the US Air Force, Dr. Stuart attended Baylor College of Dentistry for his DDS. After twenty years in private practice, Dr. Stuart furthered his training at the University of Texas Health Science Center, Houston, receiving a certificate in the specialty of Prosthodontics, an MS, and being selected as a Teaching Fellow in the Craniofacial Implant Fellowship at the university. Following the fellowship Dr. Stuart then taught at the postdoctoral level in Memorial- Hermann Hospital, Houston. After several years Dr. Stuart continued his education through an anesthesia residency at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Stuart is boarded as a dentist anesthesiologist with the ADBA and NBDA and is a Fellow in both the ADSA. He maintains a full time private practice providing office-based anesthesia services.

Dr. Hasan Zia

Dr. Hasan Zia is the newest member of Lone Star Dental Anesthesia, hailing from New York. Dr. Zia received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine in 2015. He then decided to pursue a three-year residency in Dental Anesthesiology at Stony Brook University Hospital from 2015 to 2018, treating patients of all ages and complexities both in the hospital and private office setting. During this time, he further developed his skills on a cleft lip surgery mission trip to Sudan, where he provided anesthesia to children of all ages undergoing reparative surgery. He discovered that he was a Texan at heart after marrying his wife, a DFW native, in 2014, and is excited to finally establish roots in North Texas. Dr. Zia is a certified provider of ACLS and PALS and is dedicated to the Lone Star Dental Anesthesia mission of providing safe, quality anesthesia services in the comfort of your outpatient dental/oral surgery office. In his free time, he enjoys playing sports, watching movies, and planning road trips. He and his wife, Sunna, are expecting their first child, a baby girl, this fall.

Dr. Noora Ayyash

Dr. Noora Ayyash is an Arlington transplant and alumni of the University of Texas at Arlington. She received her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from UT Health Science Center at San Antonio (UTHSCSA). She then decided to continue her post-doctoral studies in pediatric dentistry, also at UTHSCSA, and subsequently became board certified by The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry. During this time, her exposure to anesthesiology led her pursue a residency in dental anesthesiology following one year of private practice. Dr. Ayyash completed her dental anesthesiology training at Jacobi Medical Center in New York and served as the Chief Resident her junior and senior year. She is excited to be back home in the DFW metroplex and to be providing anesthesia services to her patients. In her free time, she enjoys biking, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
